Best Single-Player Quest 3 Games With Real Progression (2026)

The best single player Quest 3 games are the ones that give you something to chase after the first hour: a rank to climb, a rival to beat, a campaign to finish, a run to push further than last time. We judged every game on this list by that standard. Cosmetic unlocks do not count as progression, and a game that only hands out new skins did not make the cut. MECHA is our own game, so it sits first with a clear explanation of why, followed by twelve other single player VR games that respect your time.

MECHA: a career mode built for single player

MECHA is single player only, and we designed the whole game around that. You pilot a 200-ton flying mech in the Mecha League and work your way up a rank ladder from Rookie to All-Star. Along the way you take corporate sponsor missions, hunt rival pilots who carry cash bounties, and enter tournaments. The mod system has real trade-offs, so an upgrade to one system costs you something elsewhere. Six modes, including Deathmatch, Survival and Juggernaut, keep the arenas varied, and it all runs offline for about $9.99 on Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro. Movement is lean-based: you steer with your body, not a thumbstick.

Verdict: the deepest progression on this list for the price, if you want an arena sport rather than a story.

Try MECHA on Meta Quest. Fly a 200-ton mech with your body, no internet required, $9.99 one time. Get MECHA on the Meta Quest Store.

UNDERDOGS

UNDERDOGS by One Hamsa is an arm-driven mech brawler roguelike set in an underground fight league, and it is one of the best reviewed games on the Quest store at 4.8 from 3.2K ratings. Progression is run-based: you fight through the league, lose, and come back with what you learned. It is about $19.99 on sale from $29.99 at the time of writing. It is physical rather than seated, and the sense of piloting something heavy with your own arms is unmatched.

Verdict: real progression through a fight league, and worth full price.

Mecha Force

Mecha Force from Ming Studio is a single player roguelike melee mecha game with an anime-style KYLIN mech and a cockpit view. It entered Early Access in May 2025 and holds a 4.8 rating from about 609 reviews. Runs are short and progression comes from pushing further and unlocking more for the next attempt. Standing and sitting are both supported, with comfort listed as moderate. At about $9.99 it pairs well with MECHA: melee here, aerial arena combat there. More budget picks are in our best Quest 3 games under $10 list.

Verdict: roguelike progression that works, at a budget price.

Into the Radius

Into the Radius by CM Games is a slow, tense single player survival shooter, and it appears on almost every serious Quest 3 list for a reason. Progression is gear and mission driven: what you bring back from a trip into the zone decides what you can attempt next. It uses smooth thumbstick locomotion, so it is one for players with VR legs. Check the store page for the current price; the sequel, Into the Radius 2, is also on Quest now.

Verdict: the longest slow burn on the list, with progression you feel in your hands.

Moss

Moss is a seated-friendly story campaign in which you guide a small mouse through a storybook world. Progression is the campaign itself, plus the growing set of abilities you use to solve its puzzles. It is about $19.99 with a 4.8 rating. No roguelike loop, no ranks, but a beginning, middle and end you will want to finish. It also appears in our best seated VR games roundup.

Verdict: campaign progression, short and complete.

Red Matter 2

Red Matter 2 is a single player puzzle adventure that regularly tops Quest visual showcases. Progression is a linear campaign, with each area teaching you something the next area asks you to use. Check the store page for the current price. No unlock trees or ranks, but you always know what you are working toward.

Verdict: pure campaign progression with no filler.

Arken Age

Arken Age is one of the standout 2026 Quest releases, a single player action adventure with a proper campaign and upgrades that change how you fight. Check the store page for the current price at the time of writing. Progression comes from both story beats and the tools you build up along the way.

Verdict: a long campaign with meaningful upgrades.

Wanderer: Fragments of Fate

Wanderer: Fragments of Fate is a single player story adventure and another of the 2026 Quest hits. Progression is the campaign, threaded through puzzles and set pieces rather than stats. Check the store page for the current price. If narrative pulls you forward more than numbers do, this is the pick.

Verdict: story campaign, no grind.

Ultrawings 2

Ultrawings 2 is a civil flying game with dogfights, five aircraft and a hand-operated cockpit. The store listing suggests 40 to 60 hours of content, and progression comes through jobs that pay for new aircraft and open new work. It is about $19.99 with a 4.2 rating from 1.1K reviews. The cockpit reference frame helps comfort, which we discuss in our VR locomotion types guide.

Verdict: the longest real progression of any flying game on Quest.

Warplanes: WW1 Fighters

Warplanes: WW1 Fighters is arcade-sim dogfighting with a single player campaign, about $19.99 and rated 4.5 from 3.7K reviews. Progression is mission by mission through the campaign. For a modern setting, Warplanes: Air Corp follows the same structure at the same price.

Verdict: campaign progression in a cockpit, easy to pick up.

Vox Machinae

Vox Machinae is the heavy, deliberate MechWarrior-like option on Quest. It is best known for multiplayer, but a single player campaign was added in 2022 and it is what earns the game its place here. It is about $29.99 with a 4.2 rating. The cockpit is fully sim-style, so expect to learn systems, not just aim. We compare it to MECHA in more depth in our best VR mech games list.

Verdict: campaign progression for players who want weight over speed.

Roboquest VR

Roboquest VR is a fast roguelite shooter against robots that arrived on Quest in July 2026, about $29.99 with a 4.7 rating. It supports 2-player co-op, but solo runs work well and the unlock loop is built for repeated attempts. It is the fastest-moving game here, so treat it as an experienced-player pick.

Verdict: roguelite unlocks that stack up, solo or otherwise.

Ancient Dungeon VR

Ancient Dungeon VR is a roguelike dungeon crawler from solo developer Eric Thullen, and it proves a small team can ship a progression loop that lasts. Unlocks carry over between runs, so each attempt makes the next one different. Check the store page for the current price. It is also on our best indie VR games list.

Verdict: honest roguelike progression from a one-person studio.
